It was now four months since we were only down south. It's time to go back to participate in a volunteer project for counting bats with the Department of Conservation. That last one week and it promises to be interesting!

We go through Queenstown, one of the most touristic cities in New Zealand because of all the activities that are proposed sensations and landscapes very photogenic surroundings. It's not with gusto as we move in this crowded corner but we must admit that it's great!

Cette région a aussi un fort historique quant aux différentes ruées vers l’or qui ont eu lieux dans ce pays. Les montagnes sont assez riches en ce minerai, ou plutôt elles l’étaient, et cela a entrainé un développement des villages du coin. L’un d’eux, Arrowtown, a gardé son cachet de l’époque. A part le contenu des magasins qui a changé on s’y croirait.

C’est assez contrasté de passer d’une ville qui nous fait penser à Chamonix avec tous les touristes qui dépensent à everything is in the thrill ride, then go to see the bats well in a remote valley.
